Prayer Meeting and Bible Study
We meet for our midweek Prayer Meeting & Bible Study on Wednesdays at 7:45 pm, with the aim of finishing with refreshments around 9:00. The format is a discussional Bible study followed by prayer, and is lead by the pastor or one of the other men in the fellowship. Details of venue can be obtained from Bruce Jenkins.
In the discussional Bible Study we desire to clarify the essence of the teaching through considering together a series of questions about the designated passage, and then to draw out the practical implications and applications for believers.
Several times each year we will devote a Wednesday evening to a missionary speaker who will talk to us about their work either in the UK or abroad.
The time of prayer gives us opportunity to thank God for His grace and mercy towards His people, particularly as set out in the teaching considered each meeting. We also praise Him and bring our petitions and requests on behalf of the fellowship, the neighbourhood in which we live and others.
